I'm not pretty but i don't think i give people nightmares either.so now my physical appearance is out of the way,let's look at the intellect. I'm not in the top ten of my class, but then neither am i in the bottom ten. So you think i'm mediocre. Perhaps you are right but i would like to think there is a little more to more than that.
I love doing thing. From young, i had decided that i was going to make a difference to my world. It may seem that i'm indulging in some romantic fantasy but i'd like to assure you that i'm not. I may not be Schweitzer or a Mother Teresa but in my own way, i know i can make a difference.
When i was in primary school, i joined the scout movement. In a way it satisfied my desire to serve others. In secondry school i joined the interact club. The club's activities suited me fine,considering that they were service-orienated. It pleased me to help the handicapped children. Fridays were special when i could go to the Centre for the Blind and read to them. I found it very satisfying.
Now that i'm finishing ny secondry education, i would like to give serious though to my future career. I want to be meaningful to me and to help me achieve my target of serving people. I am not doing this with the hope of getting some awards or monetary rewards. That is quite the last thing on my mind.
In case someone thinks that because my ambition is to serve others, i must lead a lonely and miserable life. Perish the thought. I enjoy my life. I love company and have numerous friends of both sexes. I enjoy parties too. Presently my interest is learning scuba diving. In fact i have this great thirst to learn a new skill every year.
I would like a chance to prove to this world that one can lead a fairly average life and still help others. Goodness must come out of ordinary lives and this i believe is something i can do. So world, here i come...
